LA City Council President Eric Garcetti knows Bruce Springsteen's "Badlands" is ZD's Public Comment Theme Song. (He won't let me sing it from the podium, which says it all in itself.) Plus other songs on the "Darkness on the Edge of Town" album (from 1978) that ZD never really understood until his experience as a public speaker at City Hall.
